Your source for vintage Daniel Amos, Terry Taylor, Swirling Eddies, and all the Lost Dogs
This web site is dedicated to the artistic and creative work of Terry Scott Taylor and friends... |
This
web site is the culmination of my many, many years as a fan of Daniel
Amos, The Swirling Eddies, Terry Scott Taylor, The Seventy Sevens and
Mike Roe, and my recent discovery and appreciation of The Lost Dogs,
The Choir and Adam Again.
I began collecting my favorite CDs of these my favorite groups when I
saw how high many of their best works were selling for on eBay.
My goal is simple: to find their CDs at a low enough price
that I can resell them for LESS than the highest amount I see them
going for on eBay, and always at least break even, and where possible
make a slight profit. ALL of the profit I make (and it is very
little) I re-invest in these my favorite groups by purchasing their new
stuff as soon as it becomes available on their web sites (and sometimes
pre-ordering multiple copies.)
Eventually I hope that by following the above methodology I can:
- Provide the classic, collectible, rare, and
highly-sought-after works of these my favorite groups for sale on my
site at a reasonable price.
- It should be noted that I do not plan to ever sell
"current" stuff and lower rates than they are sold for at the bands'
sites. Occasionally, however, I pick something up for a good
price and resell it for slightly less than the bands do because it is
worn and pre-played.
- Eventually add to my own CD library all of the works of these my favorite groups.
- "Share the Love" - I hope to spread appreciation for these my favorite groups to a new generation.
Reasonable Price?
- You have my personal guarantee that everything I sell, I have seen it sell for more on eBay than
the price I've given it here. Of course, I have also seen it sell
for less than the price I've given it. Sure, you can shop around
and try to find one of these great CDs. But if you want it soon,
and want it now, and don't want to have to sweat it out in an auction
on eBay, well you can buy it from me.
The Moral Issues
- Everything I sell is something that I already possess
in my own personal CD library. Many of these CDs are rare, and
therefore I make a copy of them to play regularly, and put the
original away in my personal vault. I recognize that some folks
out there participate in the immoral practice of purchasing these sorts
of CDs, making a copy, and then selling the original on eBay. I
happen to know several such individuals, and while I don't poke my nose
into their own affairs, I would question the moral integrity of such a
practice. While, I have no intention of trying to lay a guilt
trip on anyone for their own practices, I feel it is important that I
state, for the record, my own practice: I never sell anything
here that I don't already own another copy of for myself. I love
Terry, Mike, and Derry and all the other members of their bands, and
wouldn't want to engage in any practice that caused them a business
loss. These guys are struggling to get by, having turned down the
riches of this world for the riches of Christ's kingdom. I
personally believe Terry is just as creative as Paul McCartney, but he
hasn't been knighted and doesn't live in a castle. Mike Roe is as
hot on the guitar as any great star out there, but he doesn't ride in a
limousine, and has to stay in cheap hotels (or people's extra bedrooms)
as he tours and performs. Well, enough said!
